About the Study

Mayor and Council and the Board of Supervisors approved the scope of work for the City/County Water and Wastewater Infrastructure, Supply and Planning Study (Study) and appointed a twelve-member Oversight Committee (Committee) to work with Tucson Water and Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department on Phases 1 and 2 of the Study. Mayor and Council and the Board of Supervisors also directed the Committee to report back on “a plan for a broad-based and transparent public process for engaging the community in this study.”

Oversight Committee meetings are open to the public and are announced via this website and through agenda notices distributed to Oversight Committee members and an extensive mailing list. Click here to add your name to the mailing list and receive meeting notices and other project updates.

This project will progress in an iterative manner. All draft and final study documents will be forwarded to the committee and posted on this web site prior to each meeting. All groups and individuals on the Study mailing list also will be notified of the opportunity to comment on study documents.

Following the Committee discussion and public comment at the meeting, staff will review all other comments received and revised materials will be circulated, with the revised text to be brought back to the Committee for further review and comments.
